About Us

Born out of our love of fine wines and good music, The Wine Loft NJ has always been the sexiest place in  Pier Village.  

Come and relax, listen to great music, enjoy a couple of drinks with your friends or colleagues and experience the love of wine for yourself.  

Opened in March of 2009 we have been sharing wine with NJ for almost 15 years!!!

Our goal at The Wine Loft is to make discovering wine fun. Our clientele ranges from the casual drinker to serious oenophile, and we strive to have something to excite them all. Pouring nearly eighty wines by the glass gives our customers the opportunity to taste wines of many different varietals and regions. Also, a list of over four hundred wines by the bottle broadens our range of appellations and varietals to display typicity and how it varies. We are not here to educate, but we hope we inspire those who visit us to pick up a book or a magazine to learn why it is they taste what they do. 

In order to keep so many wines by the glass without spoiling we use the Vinfinity system. Sucking the air out of open bottles through a synthetic stopper slows the oxidation process preserving the wine longer. Just how long depends on varietal and age of the wine, but we sample often to ensure we are pouring the best product. We came up with a way to expose customers to great wine inexpensively and cut down on waste simultaneously by offering an aggressive happy hour. All of our wines (excluding sparklings) are offered at half-price from 3-6pm five days a week.

Our wines by the bottle are kept in a temperature controlled room behind a pane of glass overlooking our lounge and bar. Keeping wines at 62 degrees Fahrenheit aids in aging, but doesn’t keep reds too cool to be served immediately. Though we have been open for less than three years our vintages date back to 1999, and we have a few verticals of Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style reds. In order to ensure our wines are keeping well, we are sometimes forced to pull a bottle at random, grab a corkscrew, and taste; just an occupational hazard, I guess.

Wine is fun.  Wine is sexy. Wine is passion; from the ground to the glass. We strive to convey this passion to our guests, and we hope these few words have helped you understand, as well. If you ever find yourself looking for something to do on the Jersey shore, stop in for a glass. Salud!
